Reviews from amazing clients

“I had been battling with admin for years, hesitant to employ staff. I simply described what I needed help with and they found the perfect match in a day or two. In the last month nearly 100 admin tasks have been handled by the appointed person, leaving me time and space to get on with the business of making money and not chasing admin tasks.”

“I have been working with AdminAssist for +-4 months and it has been work life changing. I am a working mom with my own retail business, struggling to find the time to streamline admin, specially stock, pricing updates, emailing, accounts and records management.”

“AdminAssist has supported our business in a very meaningful way by giving us the time and peace of mind to focus on that which is important for us, while the administrative side of things were taken care of. An assistant was assigned to us within a day and she was effective and reliable.”

“We've been with AdminAssist for almost five years, and would highly recommend their services. If we had any questions regarding our taxes we would always get detailed answers whether it be personal or for business as well as great communication from the company.”

“I have used AdminAssist since 2013 for multiple tasks such as bookkeeping and other admin related things that I just don't get around to as a business owner. They have always recommended better ways of doing things and have helped me a lot!”

Did you really start your business to spend your evenings on admin?
Admin is a million little things you have to do yourself because there is no-one else to do them. It slows you down, slurps up your time, wastes your energy and keeps you from doing your best work. Left alone it does not go away. It breeds quietly at the bottom of the to-do list, getting bigger.
-
It eats the hours you actually get paid for
Every hour spent capturing receipts or chasing a supplier is an hour not spent on the work a client pays for. The admin still has to happen, so it happens at night and over weekends.
-
It is the most expensive admin you can buy
Admin done by you, or by staff hired to do something else entirely, is charged at your rate and theirs. It never appears on an invoice, which is exactly why it goes unnoticed.
-
Hiring someone brings its own admin
Adverts, CVs, interviews, contracts, UIF, PAYE, leave, performance reviews. Get trapped in admin, hire someone to help with it, and discover that having employees creates more of it.
Everything that has to get done, and none of it by you
Your assistant works virtually or on-site, per hour or per month, on whatever you decide is not the best use of your day.
-
Accounting and bookkeeping
The work that has a deadline attached and a penalty for missing it.

Three steps to free yourself from admin
- 01
Tell us what is taking up your week
A short conversation about the work, the hours you think you need and how you like things done.
- 02
We match you with an assistant
We scope the role, then a Team Manager hand-picks from our screened team. Most clients meet their assistant within days.
- 03
Start delegating
Hand over the first tasks by email, WhatsApp or whichever tool you already use. The timesheet shows exactly where the hours went.
The same work, without the salary or the risk
Most people weighing this up are choosing between three things: an assistant from us, employing somebody, or finding a freelancer. Here is the honest difference.
| Consideration | | Employing someone | Hiring a freelancer |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you pay for | The hours actually worked, per hour or per month | A full salary every month, busy or quiet | Per hour, but rates and availability move |
| Finding the right person | We scope the role and match from our screened team, usually within days | Advertising, CVs, interviews, offers, notice periods | You sift the applications and take the risk yourself |
| PAYE, UIF and leave | None. Your assistant is on our team, not your payroll | All of it, plus the admin of running it | None, but no structure behind them either |
| If it is not working out | Our Assistant Team Manager steps in and replaces the assistant | A formal performance and disciplinary process | Start the search over from the beginning |
| When your workload drops | Adjust the hours | The salary stays the same, or you face retrenchment | They take other work and may not be there when you return |
| Illness and leave cover | The same assistant makes the hours up at a time that suits you both | You cover the work, or it waits | You cover the work, or it waits |
| Confidentiality | Signed confidentiality agreement, with an NDA on request | Whatever is in the contract you drew up | Usually nothing in writing |
| Who checks the work | Detailed timesheets, approved by a Team Leader before you are invoiced | You do | You do |
| Desk, PC and software | Not your problem | Space, hardware and licences, per person | Theirs, usually |
“I am eternally grateful towards AdminAssist for making our jobs easier. Focusing my time on what I am good at, because someone else handles all the admin, makes my day so much more efficient!”

The questions everyone asks first
If yours is not here, ask it in the form and you will get a straight answer.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the scope of support you need, and whether you want virtual or on-site help. We work that out with you first, then send a written quote. There are no recruitment fees, no salary, and no long-term employment commitment.
Do I have to employ anyone?
No. Your assistant is part of our team, not your payroll. That means no contracts of employment, no UIF or PAYE, no leave management, no performance reviews, and no retrenchment risk if your workload changes.
What if I am not happy with my assistant?
Our Assistant Team Manager will step in. You will work together to either resolve the situation or replace the assistant, and we move as quickly as possible so your downtime is kept to a minimum.
Can I trust AdminAssist and the assistant?
Our whole team is screened before joining AdminAssist, and everyone is re-screened for the specific role before a placement is made. All our assistants sign a confidentiality agreement when they join. If you would like an additional NDA signed with the assistant supporting you, we can arrange that.
How will I know the assistant is actually doing the work?
Every assistant keeps a detailed timesheet, submitted to a Team Leader for approval before you are invoiced. You will also be in regular contact with your assistant, so you always know how many hours have been used and what is left.
Will I always get the same assistant?
Yes. You have a designated assistant. If you use more than one, they will always be the same people. That continuity is what makes the arrangement productive rather than a series of handovers.
What happens if my assistant is ill or takes leave?
That is arranged between you and your assistant. If she is ill, she can make up the lost hours at a time that suits you both. If your business has a quieter season, tell her and she will take leave then.
Do unused hours roll over to the next month?
No, hours do not roll over, so it is worth managing your assistant's time well. If more than the agreed hours are needed, your assistant has to get your permission first, and the extra time is billed at the end of the period.
How do I give my assistant work?
Whatever way already suits you. Our clients delegate through Asana, monday.com and Trello, but email and WhatsApp work just as well. We adapt to the tools you already use.
Can my assistant manage my inbox and diary?
Yes. You share the logins and set the boundaries within which she can read, send and delete on your behalf. She can work from her own AdminAssist address or send from your domain instead.
